Angela Laurier, a beloved sister of Charlotte and Lucie Laurier has sadly passed away. She died by suicide at the age of 62. She was announced dead by Lucie, a renowned actress on Facebook on Monday 20th May 2024 saying “Angela Laurier 1962 – 2024 It is with horror that I announce the suicide of our sister Angela. The pain we feel for this irreversible, callless act is atrocious. We could never find the right words to express our sorrow here.” She was born on February 4, 1962 in British Columbia.
Angela Laurier Career
In 1967, Angela Laurier and her family relocated to Quebec. As a youth, she was passionate about gymnastics, acrobatics, dancing, singing, and theater. She had her stage debut in Michel Conte’s musical comedy Les enfants du ciel and has been in a few episodes of the Quebec television series Pop Tomato. She debuted in a circus in 1983 with Cirque du Trottoir in Belgium. The following year, she took part in the inaugural Le grand tour du Cirque du Soleil production. Notably, the artist has training in aerial ropes, aerobatics, contortion, and acrobatics. Angela exuded simplicity and charm.
Robert Lepage directed her in A Midsummer Night’s Dream in London in 1992. She played the role of Puck. She made her permanent home in France at the end of the 1990s, where she started penning her own television series, My Big Brother (1999), which was directed by Michel Dallaire. The schizophrenic older brother of Angela Laurier, Dominic, served as the inspiration for the musical and theatrical production.
