A beloved son, brother and friend Riley Orr has sadly passed away. He died on Saturday after a tragic two-boat accident on Saturday 18th May 2024. According to information released, the accident which took place in the Buck Bay area of Bobs Lake, north of Kingston, Ont. — approximately 140 kilometres south of Ottawa killed three and left five others injured.
The report has it that, authorities responded to the accident at about 9:30 p.m. where three people including Riley Orr were pronounced dead. Ontario Provincial Police revealed two boats one of the boats was described as an open bow fishing style boat and the other as a speed boat. The three that were pronounced dead were identified as a 21-year-old female from South Frontenac Township, a 22-year-old female from Elginburg and a 23-year-old male from South Frontenac.
The five persons that were injured were from the ages of 21 to 44. Authorities revealed they were transported to Kingston Hospital to be treated for their injuries. One of the injured victims was transported by Ornge Air due to the seriousness of their injuries. As at the time this report was made, the actual cause of what led to the accident has not been released. The investigation is still underway by authorities. Authorities have not officially released the suspect name but an online user identified him as Matt Splinter also known as Matty.
