According to reports, the student died by suicide during lunch yesterday at Lago Vista High School. The victim has been identified as Noah Ward. According to reports, Noah Ward, a renowned student at Lago Vista High School reportedly passed away from injuries sustained in the shooting incident.

Reports claim that Noah Ward has been struggling with anxiety and bullying. He was described as a bright and introverted kid. Noah was a perfect example of what it means to be a wonderful person. It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we write to inform you of a devastating loss within the Viking Family. Earlier today, Lago Vista High School was placed on lockdown after an incident of student self-harm involving a handgun. There was no active threat to students. We are deeply saddened to share that the student did not survive. Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences go out to the student’s family and friends during this incredibly difficult time.
Tomorrow, May 23, Lago Vista Middle School, Lago Vista Intermediate School, and Lago Vista Elementary School will operate on a normal schedule. Lago Vista High School will be open to students, but attendance is optional. All absences for May 23rd will be excused. All remaining final examinations will be exempted.
However, any student wishing to take a final exam due to the positive impact it may have on their grade should contact their teacher to make arrangements. Our school is a community, and it is important that we look out for each other, especially during times like these.
