A spokeswoman for Corona police told the publication that they saw a stalking suspect driving close to the intersection of McKinley Street and Griffin Way. The police started pursuing the guy because he wouldn’t stop. The chase came to an end close to Lakeview Avenue on the 91 Freeway. The stalemate caused miles-long backups in traffic. Officers from the California Highway Patrol are assisting motorists who are caught between the traffic diversion and the standoff. Those cars were redirected off the expressway and turned around.
