Slippery Rock, Penn:- Slippery Rock University student-athlete has passed away. Jake Baker was announced dead by Slippery Rock Athletics. He died suddenly on Thursday, the 23rd of May 2024, according to reports. “We are heartbroken by his loss and we share our deepest condolences with his family and friends.” There was no cause of death reported for Jake Baker.
Who was Jake Baker?
Jake Baker was born in Thurmont, Maryland. He was transferred from Towson to play his first season at Slippery Rock in the autumn of 2023. Jake played defensive end in eight games, leading The Rock to the 2023 PSAC West Championship and a trip to the NCAA Division II Quarterfinals. As a marketing student at Slippery Rock, Jake was recognized as a PSAC Scholar-Athlete. At Clarion, where he started his collegiate career in 2021, he was also honoured to be named to the Dean’s List. Jake was a beloved member of the Rock football family as well as a student and teammate.
