Suleiman “Sam” Abdulrahim, a professional boxer, has survived an attempted murder outside his north Melbourne house. After the shooting outside on Larch Street in Thomastown at roughly 3.15 in the morning, police determined Abdulrahim did not sustain any injuries. It is known that the perpetrators are evading capture.
Authorities suspect that while the 32-year-old was leaving his residence, a “number of shots” were fired in his direction. Prior to this incident, on June 25, 2022, the former Mongols biker—also known by his nickname, “The Punisher”—survived another shooting in Fawkner Cemetery when he was shot five times in the stomach and chest. Investigations are still on, and police are trying to determine the precise circumstances surrounding the occurrence.
On June 25, 2022, just before noon, bullets peppered Mr Abdulrahim’s black Mercedes four-wheel-drive as he was leaving the northwest Melbourne Fawkner cemetery. When the bullets were fired, he was stopped in traffic on Box Forest Road. Mr Abdulrahim was attacked five times in the upper body and was taken to the hospital in critical condition, but he lived.
