Rome NY:- Multiple police officers are currently investigating a suicide incident that happened on Friday afternoon, the 24th of May 2024 in Rome, New York. Reports claim that a man jumped off a cellphone tower. The man passed away from injuries sustained following the deadly incident, according to emergency officials.
The incident occurred on Erie Boulevard West in Rome Friday afternoon. The victim whose identity was not released officially notified his family of his intention the family reportedly called the attention of 911 at approximately 5:22 pm the same day. The man was found climbing the cellphone tower on Erie Boulevard West at South Levitt and South Charles streets.
He jumped shortly after that and was pronounced dead from his injuries. Traffic along Erie Boulevard was backed up for some time during the situation.
