Horse riding instructor and vaulting coach Emily Hogye of Ben Lomond, California has sadly passed away. She died after a heart failure. She was a dedicated equestrian vaulter and lifelong horsewoman, fully immersed in the world of horses. She was a key member of Vaulting’s Team USA, securing a Bronze Medal at the 2008 World Vaulting Championships and a Gold Medal at the 2010 Alltech/FEI World Equestrian Games.
Emily Hogye Early Life
Following in the footsteps of her equestrian parents, Emily has been surrounded by horses since birth. At age three, she joined the Pegasus Vaulting Club, where she trained on a chestnut Quarter Horse named Rosie. Her early vaulting skills were honed at home on her Shetland pony, Crystal, under the guidance of her father, a Gold medalist vaulter. Emily Hogye Education and coaching career
Emily graduated high school a year early with a perfect 4.0 GPA from Ocean Grove Charter School in 2013. She is currently a student at Cabrillo College, with ambitions to establish a career at the elite level of the equestrian world. In addition to vaulting, Emily was a versatile rider with a Pony Club rating of C1, skilled in various Western and English disciplines.
She has a particular passion for Dressage, which she aims to further in her equestrian career. Despite her petite stature, Emily excels in training ponies and smaller horses but enjoys working with horses of all breeds and sizes. Known for her hard work, dedication, and determination, Emily thrives on challenges.
