Tuesday night, there was a serious crash in Elk Grove Village that left multiple people hospitalized and a mother of five dead. According to Elk Grove Village police, at approximately 11:22 p.m., authorities were called to the intersection of Biesterfield and Meacham roads in response to a collision involving two automobiles. On the sidewalk, there was a black SUV that was damaged and a black sedan that had significant damage to its front end.
According to authorities, a Lexus car that was heading north on a red light struck a Honda SUV with three youngsters and an adult inside. After being taken to a hospital, the Honda’s driver was declared dead. According to authorities, the driver of the Lexus and the other three occupants were taken to hospitals for non-life-threatening injuries before being released. The family identified Andrea Garcia, the 45-year-old wife, as the victim in the SUV who perished in the collision.
He said that between them, they had five kids. The 26-year-married woman, who has five children together, was reportedly driving home from work when the accident happened. After the collision, the intersection was closed by authorities and reopened at roughly 8:20 a.m., nine hours later. The Elk Grove Village Police Department’s Traffic Unit is looking into the crash. It is presently uncertain if the Elk Grove Village Police will press charges against the Lexus driver.
