Longtime Dietary Nutritionist at CVPH Lisa Dashnaw has tragically passed away. She was 57 years old at the time of her death. She was announced dead through a social media publication that read “So sorry for the family loss. RIP Lisa Dashnaw. Prayers and thoughts.” She was loved and cherished by her parents, children and grandchildren. Lisa will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

Following the discovery of a deceased lady inside a car in Plattsburgh on Tuesday afternoon, the New York State Police have made additional information public. Police named the victim as Plattsburgh resident Lisa Dashnaw, 57, on Wednesday. It was determined via an autopsy that Dashnaw died from strangling. It has been determined that she was killed. After receiving a report around 2:30 p.m., police discovered Dashnaw’s body in the trunk of a car close to the Enterprise Rent-A-Car location on Route 3 and Military Turnpike.
Who was Lisa Dashnaw?
She was the daughter of Rita Ann Bell and John Edward Dashnaw, Jr., and was born in Plattsburgh on June 20, 1966. She attended Peru High School, where she graduated in 1984, and grew up on Peru’s Dashnaw Road. Lisa spent twenty-five years as a Dietary Nutritionist at CVPH. Though she loved music and flower gardening, her main passion was spending time with her grandchildren. The following people are left to cherish Lisa’s memory: her mother, Rita Bell; her father, John Dashnaw; sister, Tami Dashnaw Wood; brother, Dion Dashnaw.
New York State Police, the Plattsburgh City Police Department and the Clinton County District Attorney’s Office are investigating this incident. Police are asking anyone who lives in the area to check their security cameras for any suspicious activity and to report findings to the agency at 518-563-3761.
