Greenville NC: Jay Gallagher, a kind and gentle spirit who greatly loved his family, has passed away. He was announced dead yesterday, Thursday, the 29th of May 2024 in Burlington, Vermont. Jay Gallagher affectionately known to many as John Francis Gallagher, IV, was known for his fierce love for his family and unwavering passion for animals.
About Jay Gallagher
He was born on April 6, 2003, in Burlington to Becky McGregor and John Francis Gallagher III. He graduated from D. H. Conley High School. Jay served as the president of The Krusty Krab. John’s passion for cars was both a hobby and a significant part of his identity. From his Subaru to his Honda and especially his cherished Toyota truck, he found comfort in the world of vehicles and parts. His career was dedicated to this passion, and he put his heart into every project he undertook.
In addition to his love for cars, John will be remembered for the affection and care he gave to his family, friends, and beloved pets. He was devoted to those close to him, especially his stepdaughter Zahra Kane-Kelly. John’s stubborn yet charming nature often meant he had the last word, whether in good times or bad.
Survived by
In addition to Zahra, John is survived by his fiancée Kayle Kelly. He also leaves behind his parents Becky McGregor and her fiancé Chris Connelley and John Francis Gallagher, III, and his stepfather Joseph McGregor; siblings Dorothy Darling, Kayla Allen, Amber Vincent, and Evan McGregor and his cousin and best friend Tyler Linehan.
He is also survived by his grandparents, Janice and Stephen Linehan and Susan Elsworth, his step-grandmother Suzanne McGregor, and his aunts and uncles, Lisa Tomasik and her husband Tyler, Robert Linehan, Shelley Hood, Jacob Linehan and aunt KK.
Celebration of Life
A Celebration of Life service will be held on June 1, 2024, at Minor Funeral and Cremation Center in Milton, VT. The event will begin at 3:00 PM and conclude at 5:00 PM as we come together to honour the life of John Francis Gallagher, IV.
