Mid-Atlantic Sprint Series Racing star and electrician Joe Kay of Doylestown, Pennsylvania has sadly passed away. He died in a tragic accident on Saturday, June 1st 2024 leaving family, friends and colleagues in shock and disbelief. He was announced dead through a Facebook publication that says “The Mid-Atlantic Sprint Series would like to send our most sincere condolences to the family and friends of Joe Kay, who passed away suddenly last night.”

He attended Central Bucks High School – East where he graduated in 2007. He proceeded to study at Pennsylvania College of Technology where he studied Electrical Occupations and finished in 2009. He was a renowned Electrician at John W Kay electric since 2009. He was a loving and caring husband, son, brother, colleague and friends. Joe’s racing career with the Mid Atlantic Sprint Series has been one marked by dedication and passion. Since 2015, he has competed in 14 events with PASS, some of which were co-sanctioned with MASS. Among his accomplishments, he secured a top-five finish at Bridgeport, showcasing his skill and tenacity on the track.
Beyond his achievements, it is Joe’s spirit and camaraderie that have left an indelible mark on those who knew him. His loss is a significant blow to the racing community, which has come to see Joe not just as a competitor, but as a vital and vibrant part of their extended family.
